The combination of access control and visitor assistance at the reception of a company or institution.
Reception service combines security duties with service tasks: registering visitors and issuing visitor badges, controlling access, managing mail and keys, and operating the switchboard. It is therefore often the first face of the client.
Because there is extensive contact with the public, personal conduct and de-escalation are as important as the security task. This service is typically used for site security and in hospitals, often as a permanently staffed post in a dedicated guarding service.
