Terminal at the Site
A tablet at reception serves as a time clock for security officers without a smartphone.
Requirements
- Terminal created at the site
- PIN set for each security officer
- Published shift today at exactly this site
Setup
The site profile contains a Terminals card. There, you create a device and receive an access key. Without a device name, the Create button remains disabled and also explains why.
This key is shown exactly once. It cannot be recovered afterward. Only a verification value is stored. If the key is lost, create the terminal again. Revocation takes effect immediately.
The device then opens the terminal page and authenticates with this key. There is no user login on the device.
Assign a PIN and clock in
In the employee profile, under the Contract and Personnel tab, set a PIN for each security officer. It can no longer be read afterward. The Cockpit only shows whether one has been set.
At the terminal, the security officer sees today's shifts for this site with name and status and clocks in and out with "Arrive" and "Leave".
After several failed attempts, the PIN is temporarily locked. Therefore, assign an individual PIN to each security officer and never use a shared one for the site.

Difference from check-in in the app
The terminal collects no location data. The location restriction is established differently: the device is permanently linked to one site and shows only today's shifts at that site. The app works the opposite way. It checks the geofence and rejects a check-in outside it.
Every terminal clock event is logged with the device and site, so it is possible to see afterward which method was used. The status rules and the lock for closed months apply as they do everywhere else.
In practice: Set up the terminal only at sites where the device is physically secured, and only for security officers without a smartphone.
