The duty roster assigns guards to shifts at sites. In security services, it is more demanding than in many industries: Sites are staffed around the clock, qualifications must match the activity, and the Arbeitszeitgesetz sets strict limits on rest periods and maximum working time.
A good duty roster considers availability, qualifications, travel distances and legal limits at the same time. Doing this manually in Excel is prone to errors. Scheduling software checks conflicts automatically and suggests a replacement when someone is absent.
