Digital Guard Logbook
Seven entry types, optional photos, and no option to change anything afterward. This is precisely what makes it useful as evidence.
Requirements
- Security officer checked in at the site
Writing an entry
In the shift details, the checked-in security officer opens "Guard logbook", selects one of seven types (Patrol, Incident, Handover, Visitor, Note, Start of duty, End of duty), writes text, and attaches photos if needed. They then see the site's history, newest first, including the latest handover.
Nothing is saved without text. Photos may be up to 10 MB. JPEG, PNG, and HEIC are allowed. The author's name is set by the server from the signed-in account and cannot be submitted by the user.
Photo attachments are available on iPhone and Android.

Append only, never change
The guard logbook does not support editing or deletion. A correction is a new entry that refers to the old one. There is simply no interface for this. It is part of the structure, not a setting.
As a result, sites and security officers can no longer be deleted once guard logbook entries or scans exist. The evidence remains complete.
In the Cockpit and for the customer
The Cockpit provides a site overview with a history and PDF output. Older incident reports are included in the reading view.
Customer access is enabled for each site and is off by default. The author's name is pseudonymized for customers.
The PDF is limited to 10.000 entries. If there are more, the period must be narrowed.
Permissions
Important for assigning permissions: The guard logbook and guard patrols use the same permissions. They cannot be enabled separately. Removing guard patrols from a role also removes the guard logbook.
