Shift Marketplace
A process for offering open shifts to available personnel instead of filling them through individual phone calls.
With a shift marketplace, unfilled shifts are announced to all suitable and available personnel, who can express their interest. Dispatchers then assign the shifts instead of calling everyone in turn.
The benefit is clear when absences occur at short notice and during demand peaks in event security. Important: the assignment must still check qualifications and working time limits. Otherwise, the marketplace can result in a violation.
